“Pillar of Power.” Ground to overhead, followed by tempo descent to floor. See note below.
Note: On “Angie” athletes can partition the repetitions any way that works in their best interest. The “Pillar of Power” is a strength program where the athlete will perform a ground to overhead, then bring the barbell down to the ground as slowly as possible via a press, then a front squat, then a deadlift. The total time of the descent from overhead should be at least 30 seconds.
