Today is going to be an awesome day of discovering our “Positive Posture” and “Power Position.” This is a mind-strength technique that Greg Amundson teaches at the CrossFit Goal Setting Trainer Course. Once we learn our posture we’ll “memorize” it through a challenging partner workout:

Every minute on the minute add 1 Burpee.

Notes:

1. Before the start of every set of burpees, each partner must do their “positive posture”.
2. Teams can divide work as necessary.
3. How many teams can go all twenty minutes?
4. Make sure you attend class today! Today’s exercise will be important as we move forward with additional mind-strength exercises.

We have two very special events coming up at CrossFit Amundson. Sunday, October 7, 2012, from 8:30 AM to 11:00 AM is Ladies Surf Day with Coach Jama at Capitola Beach. This will be a ladies only event with all expenses paid by the gym. Friday, October 19, 2012, from 6:30 AM to 8:30 AM is CrossFit Amundson Men’s WOD SUP Day with Greg Amundson. This will be a very challenging two mile open water WOD SUP from the Santa Cruz Harbor to the Santa Cruz Wharf. This will be a mens only event with all expenses paid by the gym. Then on Sunday, October 21, 2012, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, we have our CrossFit Amundson Open House and Athlete Recognition day. More information on all of these events is available at the gym!
